LMAKprojects is pleased to present Nava Lubelski's 'Salvaged' a project which takes her work into a new realm of functional art. Lubelski has taken her signature stitching of 'spills and stains' and applied them to vintage cloth. Ranging from napkins to shirts Lubelski allows the history of the cloth to lead her to her composition much like her approach to the canvas after she applies the paint. In the napkin series Lubelski has selected vintage cotton napkins which come in sets of four, six and eight and through digital stitching applied an iconic version of a stain executed in red thread to white cotton, making the pieces striking as red sets off the white and the stain resembles either spilled wine or blood.

The set was selected and featured in Time Out NY's catalog of tossed and found furnishing.
